International Phonetic Association

International Phonetic Alphabet. It is a standard set of
symbols for transcribing the sounds of spoken languages.

Phonetic Association WWW site.
Also provided are charts for consonants, vowels, tones and accents,
suprasegmentals, diacritics and other symbols.
