Convolution

eqnarray308

Convolving two signals in the time domain results in a Fourier transform that is the multiplication of the Fourier transform of the two original signals. Similarly, multiplication of two signals in the time domain results in a convolution in the frequency domain.

This is important later when g(n) is a windowing function.
