TrueSpeech is a family of speech compression and decompression algorithms and software. It is designed for personal computers and personal communications devices. With the high compression ratios ranging from 15:1 to 27:1, TrueSpeech improves the storage and communications transmission of digital voice information and can be used in the integration of personal computers and telephones. TrueSpeech can be utilized in many products and applications such as:
- Multimedia PCs
- Sound cards and modems
- Computer/telephony and teleconferencing
- Voice mail systems and PBX systems
